Mocha Man Foundation is built through collaboration and shared investment. Our literacy and arts programs exist because educators, artists, organizations, sponsors, and community members believe in creating meaningful spaces for boys and men to read, create, and express themselves.

Sponsors play a critical role in making our programs accessible and sustainable. Sponsorship support allows us to compensate teaching artists, provide materials, and offer programs at little or no cost to participants.

Teaching Artists & Educators
We are actively building a network of teaching artists and instructors to lead programs across our literacy and arts offerings.
We are seeking:
Teaching artists in visual art, filmmaking, photography, acting, dance, digital media, and mixed media
Reading instructors and literacy educators
Writing teachers specializing in creative writing, poetry, storytelling, or memoir
Musicians and songwriters interested in teaching lyric writing, songwriting, or basic music production
Teaching artists work with boys, teens, young adults, adults, and older men. Programs may be age-specific or intergenerational.
Teaching artists may lead:
Reading circles
Writing workshops and labs
Creative skill-building sessions
Project-based programs
Short-term intensives or multi-week courses
Teaching artists are paid when funding allows, with some volunteer-led pilot programs during early stages.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers support the day-to-day work of the foundation and help programs run smoothly.
Volunteer roles include:
Literacy support
Assisting with reading circles and writing workshops
Creative support
Supporting teaching artists during classes, rehearsals, film shoots, and exhibitions
Music and performance support
Assisting musicians, performers, and facilitators
Event support
Helping with showcases, screenings, and community events
Administrative and outreach support
Registration, communications, logistics, and coordination
Media and documentation
Photography, videography, and content support
No teaching experience is required for many volunteer roles. Reliability, respect, and a willingness to support participants are most important.
